Great weather and water prevailed for most of the weekend before a Southerly hit late on Sunday afternoon and racing was abandoned.
This 1km introductory regatta gives novice rowers a taste of competition and more experienced rowers the opportunity to hone their racing skills ahead of the season.
With 553 competitors from across Canterbury and Otago, Wanaka had strong competition and exciting results to take forward into the season, where Masters continue to row over 1km but Juniors will race 2km courses.
