Visiting Rower
Visiting Wanaka and keen to get on the water? We welcome experienced rowers from around New Zealand and overseas to join us for a row on stunning Lake Wanaka.
Who Can Row
We welcome experienced rowers to join us for a session whilst visiting Wanaka. All visiting rowers must be over 18, confident handling club equipment and comfortable rowing in a range of conditions.
Before getting on the water, visitors are required to:
- Complete a short safety briefing and sign a waiver
- Follow all club rules and safety procedures
- Wear appropriate rowing gear and a visibility vest when required
Session Details
Depending on weather conditions each outing is around 90 minutes, including setup and pack-down, and offers the opportunity to experience rowing on one of the most scenic lakes in New Zealand.
- Cost: $40 per row
- Session Times: Sessions are arranged based on availability, with most rows held in the early morning when the lake is calmest.
- Duration: Approximately 90 minutes from arrival to finish.
- Location: Wanaka Rowing Club, Mount Aspiring Road Wanaka.
