Full Maadi results list below:

Riley Bruce, in his final year of rowing with MAC, continued his previous form coming 2nd in semi of the Under 18 Boys single. With very tough competition in the Final it was just a stretch too far which saw Riley come in a formidable 5th place.

Riley then teamed up Lucas Toovey in the Under 18 double sculls where they had a very convincing row winning a Bronze Medal in a personal best time of 6.49.96.

Lucas also qualified in the fastest time for the B Final of the Boys Under 17 Single sculls. Having  missed out on the A final by just .03 of second he felt that he had gone off too hard and ran out of steam. In the B Final, he sat with the pack in 5th place and with about 300 m to go put the power on and rowed through the opposition to win by over a length.

The two senior girls Riley Homan and Bridie Hurley had a fantastic row in the B Final, leading from the start but just getting overhauled in the last 50 m by Hamilton Girls to come 2nd. Both girls raced in the U18  singles with Bridie just missing out on the b final and coming 2nd in the C Final and Riley coming 4th in the b Final.

A huge mention must go to the five novice girls, Laura Neale, Peta Mckay, Emma Smith, Maggie Stiven and Kilita Fouchee racing for the first time this year. They only started rowing in September and to C and B finals in their first novice year is a huge achievement.

It’s been a great season with a lot of competition in the girls Under 15 squad with these novice girls seat racing against the Under 15 girls Greer porter, Samantha Garrick and Sam Humphreys. There has been hot competition for seats and each crew pushing to beat the other in training.

Finally Sam Pearce (15) was pipped to 5th place in his repecharge of the Boys Under 16 singles narrowly missing out on the final. He rowed a personal best in the heat. Sam then teamed up with Finn Hunter (17) and were 5th in the Boys Under 17 double sculls B Final. Finn also raced in the Under 18 singles and teamed up with Riley Bruce to qualify for the B Final of the U18 Coxless Pair where they were 3rd.
